Transforming the Workplace
When companies create an open culture and when employees can be honest about their brain health with both their managers and each other, productivity increases dramatically. Collectively, the Workforce Experiment team has access to hundreds of workplaces, who are already asking to make a change for better brain health.
In partnership with HealthLinks, we are building the first-ever behavioral health workplace assessment. Together, we’re:
Creating effective workplace accommodations for people with brain conditions and helping businesses harness the full power of neurodiversity (depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, etc.)
Working towards parity in health insurance for mental and physical health benefits
Instituting fair and effective HR policies for hiring, onboarding, and retaining staff
Building a culture of peer support and care within companies
Telling our Stories to the World
There's a norm we've set out to disrupt : You can 't be open on social media. You must present perfection - no one wants to hear about your reality.
In partnership with story2, we change the conversation by sharing our stories. Storytelling is one of the most effective ways to normalize the experience of brain conditions. Our members have shared their stories in publications like bpHope, Westword, and on stage to thousands from San Francisco to New York. Open Labs gives members the community support and training to feel confident telling their story.
In our second year, this biannual event brings together tech employees living with brain conditions, companies making a difference in brain health, and community leaders who speak about what it means to live, work, and thrive, with a brain condition. Learn more about the Open Weekend.
